nine months ago the marvellous meera from round table books and cool kat miles from rachel and malika's (story on the bbc) came up with the idea to own the brixton markets for lots of good reasons. together with the powerhouse team at the advocacy academy and brixton culture capital and the brixton traders association this is a reality!
the latest update? an incredible £3 million has already been raised, and a major trust is making some very loud noises about a very large donation. since this news is just a week old, we are feeling quietly confident. keep updated on the buybackbrixton website
